Donating blood is essential to community health and Blood Assurance is in need of blood during this critical blood shortage. The EF4 Tornado that hit Putnam County in March of 2020, followed by the COVID-19 pandemic, has left the Upper Cumberland in short supply.
Blood Assurance follows the highest standards of safety and infection control, and volunteer donors are the only source of blood for those in need. The YMCA is partnering with the Blood Assurance to offer blood drives at the YMCA facility throughout the year. We encourage healthy individuals to donate if possible.
