Open Doors

At the Y, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive, regardless of their financial circumstances. That’s why our Open Doors scholarship provides $30,000 in membership assistance. This allows people who would not be able to belong to the Y to participate in its life-changing programs and services, that otherwise would not 

Open Doors offers financial assistance for membership on a sliding scale based on your household’s income. Individuals with a special circumstance, such as a job loss or other financial challenge, are also encouraged to apply for assistance.

How to Apply

• Download an Open Doors application, and bring it to your local Y along with your most recent tax return or other proof of income for the last 30 days or apply below. You can also email applications to info@spartaymca.org.
• Let our staff know that you'd like to discuss membership through Open Doors.
• A membership representative will meet with you one-on-one to discuss your options. 
• Based on the information that you provide, he or she will assist you to determine the amount of assistance the Y is able to provide.
